Ali Larter is an American actress and former model who is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Taylor Windham in the 2001 romantic comedy Legally Blonde. Ali Elizabeth Larter was born on February 28, 1976, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey; her father was a trucking executive and her mother was a realtor. Ali was discovered by a modeling agent when she was fourteen years old, subsequently, she skipped her senior year in high school to model throughout Australia, Italy, and Japan. It was in Italy where Ali met the American actress Amy Smart. The two became friends and moved to Los Angeles, where they shared an apartment together. As a model, Ali appeared on the covers of Shape, Cosmopolitan, Allure, Glamour, and Maxim. Ali’s first acting role was in the Brooke Shields television series Suddenly Susan.
