Devon Dalio, the eldest son of billionaire hedge fund manager Ray Dalio, was an American entrepreneur and philanthropist known for his work in finance and his contributions to charitable causes. He was born on March 26, 1978, in Los Angeles, California, to Ray and Barbara Dalio. His grandparents were Ann and Marino Dallolio. Devon Dalio had three siblings—Paul Dalio, filmmaker Matthew Ace Dalio, and a sister. Of Caucasian ethnicity and a practicing Christian, he earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Lafayette College.
Devon Dalio began his professional journey working at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund founded by his father Ray Dalio in 1975. Ray Dalio has served as Co-Chief Investment Officer of the firm since 1985. Devon later became the CEO of the Dalio Family Office, managing the family's private investments and philanthropic ventures for eight years.
He went on to co-found P-Squared Management Enterprises, a private equity firm, where he played a key role as a founding partner.
