Before her breakout on Dexter, Garcia was also widely recognized for playing Veronica Palmero, the spoiled niece in the hit sitcom George Lopez. Her portrayal earned her a 2007 ALMA Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
In film, she played a supporting role in the 2014 reboot of RoboCop. Although her focus has primarily remained on television, roles in various movies have continued to showcase her versatility.
Garcia later joined the cast of the TV Land comedy Impastor, portraying LeeAnne. Around the same time, she was also cast in Sister Cities as Sarah, a project that was in post-production at the time of reporting.
In addition to her ALMA Awards nomination, Garcia received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination in 2012 for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, recognizing the cast of Dexter.
