<h2>Early Life and Education</h2>

<p><a href="/biography/betty-liu">Betty Liu</a> was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of three. She later attended the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with honors in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in English.</p>

<h2>Journalism Career</h2>

<p>Liu began her journalism career as a Hong Kong–based regional correspondent for Dow Jones Newswires, where she covered financial and corporate news across Asia, and later served as its Taiwan bureau chief. She then joined the Financial Times as its Atlanta bureau chief, and later worked as an anchor for CNBC Asia in Hong Kong, conducting interviews with high-profile business and governmental leaders. Her journalistic work has also appeared in prominent publications such as The Wall Street Journal and the Far Eastern Economic Review.</p>

<h2>Bloomberg Television and Broadcasting</h2>

<p><a href="/biography/betty-liu">Betty Liu</a> anchored <i>In the Loop with Betty Liu</i> on Bloomberg Television and later hosted the morning program <i>Daybreak Asia</i> while serving as editor-at-large. In this role, she offered in-depth market analysis and featured interviews with leading global business executives and policymakers. Her work is known for bringing clarity to complex economic topics, making her a familiar face among financial news audiences.</p>

<p>In 2018, Liu left Bloomberg when Intercontinental Exchange acquired Radiate, the business-lessons startup she founded, and named her Executive Vice Chairman of the New York Stock Exchange.</p>
