In 2003, Hasselbeck auditioned for and was selected as a co-host on the daytime talk show The View. Known for her conservative viewpoints, she frequently engaged in on-air debates concerning political and social issues. Although the network denied the rumors, she eventually chose to leave the program. In September 2013, she joined the Fox News morning show Fox & Friends, replacing Gretchen Carlson. Her arrival reportedly contributed to a 10 percent ratings increase in the key 25–54 age demographic, highlighting her influence in conservative media circles.
