Maika Monroe, born Dillon Monroe Buckley on May 29, 1993, in Santa Barbara, California, is an American actress and professional kiteboarder. Her parents are Dixie and Jack Buckley. At the age of 17, Monroe relocated to Cabarete in the Dominican Republic to pursue her passion for kiteboarding. During this time, she completed her high school education online.
