Natalya Neidhart is a Canadian-American professional wrestler currently signed to WWE. She is widely recognized for being a two-time WWE Women’s Champion and the first female third-generation wrestler in WWE history.
Natalie Katherine Neidhart-Wilson was born on May 27, 1982, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She is the daughter of WWE legend Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart and Ellie Hart, making her a member of the influential Hart wrestling family. Her maternal grandparents are Stu Hart and Helen Hart, whose legacy in professional wrestling remains prominent in Canada and internationally.
Natalya has two sisters: Jennifer, a professional gourmet chef, and Kristen, affectionately nicknamed "Muffy." She is also a cousin to wrestlers Harry Smith, Teddy Hart, Matt Hart, and Mike Hart, all of whom belong to the extended Hart wrestling dynasty. Natalya attended Vincent Massey Junior High and graduated from Bishop Carroll High School in 2000.
Natalya made her WWE television debut in April 2008 on SmackDown. Known in the ring as Natalya, she quickly gained attention for her skillful technique and pedigree. Later that year, she competed in the first-ever WWE Divas Championship match at The Great American Bash against Michelle McCool, although she did not win the title at that time.
Recognized for her technical wrestling abilities and in-ring intelligence, Natalya earned a spot at #19 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s list of the top 50 female singles wrestlers in 2008. In February 2009, she transitioned from the SmackDown brand to WWE's ECW brand, continuing her versatile presence within the company. Over the years, she has captured the WWE Women’s Championship twice, solidifying her place among the prominent female wrestlers of her generation.
One of Natalya’s most emotional WWE appearances occurred in August 2019, the night after SummerSlam in Toronto. While addressing the audience with a heartfelt tribute to her late father Jim Neidhart, who had passed away one year prior, she was suddenly interrupted by fellow wrestler Sasha Banks. After initially embracing Natalya, Banks turned on her with a surprise attack—marking Banks' dramatic return to WWE following a four-month hiatus attributed to creative differences with the company. The incident garnered widespread attention and added to Natalya's long list of storyline highlights.
Beyond her accomplishments in the ring, Natalya is respected for helping to elevate women’s wrestling within WWE. Her experience, longevity, and technical prowess have made her a cornerstone of the division and a mentor for younger talent.
Natalya is married to her longtime partner and fellow professional wrestler, TJ Wilson, known in the ring as Tyson Kidd. The two grew up together in Calgary and began dating in 2001. They were married in June 2013 after more than a decade together. Natalya has often shared that she has known TJ since she was ten years old, and he was one of her earliest wrestling trainers in the Hart family’s famous Dungeon. The couple’s enduring relationship and shared passion for wrestling have made them one of WWE’s most respected duos both inside and outside the ring.
