Scarlett Noel Pomers was born on November 28, 1988, in Riverside, California. Her entry into show business began at a very young age; when she was just three years old, a talent agent spotted her at a local shopping mall and encouraged her mother to consider acting for Scarlett. In addition to acting, she also displayed a keen interest in music. Starting early, she took singing and guitar lessons, laying the foundation for a dual career in the performing arts.
Pomers made her first on-screen appearance as a child in the music video for Michael Jackson's "Heal the World." She later appeared in a number of television commercials and guest-starred in popular TV shows including Touched by an Angel, That’s Life, and Judging Amy. At the age of five, she made her film debut in The Baby-Sitters Club and went on to appear in other films such as Erin Brockovich, Happy, Texas, and A Ring of Endless Light.
Pomers gained national recognition for her role as Naomi Wildman on the television series Star Trek: Voyager. Although she appeared in a total of 17 episodes between 1998 and 2001, she was not three years old during filming, as previously misstated. Her well-received performance on the show earned her a Young Artist Award and marked a significant milestone in her acting career.
Following her success in Star Trek: Voyager, Pomers was cast as Kyra Hart, the middle child, in the popular CW television series Reba, which ran from 2001 to 2007. She remained on the show for its entirety, further establishing her as a familiar face in American households. Pomers also briefly served as a judge on the talent show America’s Most Talented Kids, showcasing her continued involvement in the entertainment industry.
After stepping away from acting in 2014, Pomers turned her focus toward music and photography. On January 7, 2010, she released her debut EP titled Insane, which featured five tracks. As a singer-songwriter, she founded a band named SCARLETT, also known as The Scarlett Pomers Band. The group performed at well-known venues such as the Knitting Factory, House of Blues, Club One-Seven, The Roxy, and Whisky a Go Go.
In late 2005, Pomers faced a serious personal health challenge when she was diagnosed with anorexia nervosa. At her lowest point, she reportedly weighed just 73 pounds and was engaging in extreme exercise routines. As a result, she was admitted to a treatment facility to begin the recovery process. After her recovery, she adopted a vegetarian lifestyle and, in June 2006, began practicing Kundalini yoga, inspired by a book she read about Golden Bridge yoga.
Scarlett Pomers maintains a relatively private personal life. She was once romantically linked to actor Jonathan Taylor Thomas, though details about their relationship remain minimal. She has not been publicly associated with any other significant relationships and has never been married. Furthermore, she does not have any children, choosing instead to focus on her creative pursuits in music and photography.
Thanks to her successful acting roles on shows like Reba and Star Trek: Voyager, along with her music career, Scarlett Pomers has built a respectable net worth, currently estimated at approximately $2 million.
