Hoda Kotb is also a best-selling author. Her first book, Hoda: How I Survived War Zones, Bad Hair, Cancer and Kathie Lee, was released in October 2010 and became a New York Times bestseller. The memoir reflects on her personal and professional experiences, including her battle with breast cancer.

Personal Life and Breast Cancer Advocacy

In 2005, Kotb married Burzis Kanga, a tennis coach at the University of New Orleans. The marriage ended in divorce in 2007. That same year, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy followed by reconstructive surgery in March. Her journey was documented by the Today show, helping raise public awareness about breast cancer.

Since overcoming cancer, Kotb has become a dedicated advocate for breast cancer awareness and survivorship. She has spoken publicly about the importance of early detection and serves as an inspiration to many battling the illness.

Current Personal Life

Kotb is currently in a relationship with New York-based financier Joel Schiffman. As of the most recent reports, they have been together for over two years, having built a life that balances family and professional commitments.
