Kerry Sayers is an American television anchor, reporter, and host born on July 11, 1971, in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She developed an early passion for sports and attended Mercy High School in her hometown. After graduating high school, Sayers enrolled at the University of Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Sayers began her journalism career in 1994 at WILX-TV in Lansing, Michigan. Initially hired in a general reporting role, she later transitioned into the sports department, aligning with her long-standing interest in athletics. This move marked the beginning of her focus on sports journalism.
Following her time at WILX-TV, Sayers moved to Empire Sports Network in Buffalo, New York, where she served as an anchor and reporter for two years. She continued building her profile in sports broadcasting, which eventually led to a position at Fox Sports Net Ohio in 2000.
