<p>Emilie Ullerup is a Danish <a href="/biography/emilie-ullerup">actress</a> best known for her role as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Magnus">Ashley Magnus</a> in the television series <em>Sanctuary</em>.</p>

<h2>Early Life and Education</h2>

<p>Emilie Ullerup was born on October 27, 1984, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Her <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ove_Ullerup">father</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ove_Ullerup">Ove Ullerup-Petersen</a>, served as the Lord Chamberlain for the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Danish_royal_family">Danish Royal Family</a> and was also a Danish diplomat, including a posting as Denmark’s Ambassador to Vietnam. Due to her father’s international assignments, Emilie became fluent in Danish, English, and Vietnamese. She completed her secondary education in Copenhagen and, in 2003, moved to British Columbia, Canada, to pursue a career in acting. Emilie enrolled at Vancouver Film School and graduated in 2005, following her passion for performing arts.</p>

<h2>Acting Career</h2>

<p>Emilie began her professional acting career in 2004, appearing as Julia Prynne in the acclaimed science fiction television series <em>Battlestar Galactica</em>. She went on to play Sandra in the series <em>Blood Ties</em> (2006), further establishing her presence in genre television. Her most notable role came in 2008 as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Magnus">Ashley Magnus</a> in <em>Sanctuary</em>, starring alongside <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanda_Tapping">Amanda Tapping</a>.
