Rece Davis, born Laurece "Rece" Davis, is a prominent American sports television journalist best known for his work with ESPN. He was raised in Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Affairs and Broadcast News. During his college years, Davis gained early experience in broadcasting by taking on various unpaid internships. He worked as a freelance television play-by-play announcer, radio personality, and studio host at several media outlets throughout the state.
After graduation, Davis began his professional journalism career as a general assignment reporter at WCFT-TV in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In recognition of his contributions to the industry, he was named an Outstanding Alumnus by the University of Alabama’s School of Communication and Information Sciences in 2001.

He currently serves as the host of College GameDay, ESPN’s signature college football road show, a position he assumed after Chris Fowler.
