Breakthrough Role in Tadpole

Stanford gained attention with his first major film role as Oscar Grubman in the 2002 independent film Tadpole. In this coming-of-age story, he played a precocious fifteen-year-old who develops romantic feelings for his stepmother. The film was well-received critically and showcased Stanford's acting abilities. His performance earned him a nomination for a Golden Satellite Award and led to being named one of Daily Variety's "Top Ten Actors to Watch."

Television Debut and Early Recognition

From 2001 to 2002, Stanford made several appearances on the television series Third Watch, portraying the character Sergei, a Russian teenager. His early television work, combined with the success of Tadpole, laid the foundation for future roles in both mainstream and independent projects.

Notable Role as Pyro in the X-Men Franchise
