Ali Elizabeth Larter, born on February 28, 1976, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is an American actress and former model. Her father worked as a trucking executive, while her mother was a realtor. Larter was discovered by a modeling agent at the age of 14, which launched her early career in fashion. She left high school before her senior year to pursue modeling full-time, working in countries including Australia, Italy, and Japan.
During her time in Italy, she met aspiring actress Amy Smart. The two became close friends and eventually moved to Los Angeles, where they shared an apartment as they pursued acting careers.
