In 2012, Panettiere began starring as Juliette Barnes in the ABC musical drama series Nashville. Portraying a troubled yet talented country music star, Panettiere received praise for her performance and remained with the show for all six seasons until its conclusion in 2018.
In addition to acting, Panettiere has nurtured her passion for singing. She contributed vocals to soundtracks for various projects, including A Bug’s Life, Tiger Cruise, The Dust Factory, and Ice Princess. Although she was recognized for her musical participation, it is inaccurate to state that she received a Grammy nomination for a song from A Bug’s Life; no such nomination was awarded.
Hayden Panettiere has been recognized for her talent through various awards. One of her earliest accolades was a Special Recognition Award from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for raising awareness of leukemia through her role in Guiding Light.
In 2001, she won the Young Artist Award for Best Supporting Young Actress for her performance in Remember the Titans. Panettiere has encountered public attention for her personal relationships. From 2007 to 2009, she dated her Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia. In 2009, she met world heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko at a book launch event. The couple began dating and went through an on-and-off relationship. They confirmed their engagement in 2013 and welcomed a daughter in 2014. Despite separating in 2018, they remain on amicable terms and co-parent their daughter.
In 2015, Panettiere sought treatment for postpartum depression, which led to a temporary absence from filming Nashville. She openly discussed her experience, becoming an advocate for mental health awareness.
After her breakup with Klitschko, Panettiere was in a relationship with Brian Hickerson. Their relationship ended in 2020 following multiple allegations of domestic abuse, and Hickerson was arrested. Panettiere has since spoken publicly about surviving abusive relationships and has worked to bring attention to domestic violence issues.
