Before marriage and family life took priority, Rhodes had a promising career in journalism. In addition to her position at the Huntsville Times, she worked with WVNN and later served as a book editor in New York City. Although she eventually shifted focus to her family, she remained involved in aspects of Hannity's career behind the scenes, including reportedly offering editorial input and content guidance.
After Hannity joined Fox News and began co-hosting programs such as Hannity & Colmes and later The Sean Hannity Show, Rhodes supported his transition into television. During this time, the family relocated to New York to accommodate Hannity’s growing presence on national media. Though not a formal employee of Fox News Channel, Rhodes contributed to her husband's success, particularly in the early stages of his television career.
Despite her association with a high-profile public figure, Jill Rhodes has maintained a low public profile, preferring to stay out of the spotlight. She is known for her discretion and support behind the scenes, dedicating much of her time to her family.
