Reyes has two siblings, including a twin sister and another sister. She pursued higher education at Hunter College in Manhattan, where she was introduced to acting and decided to pursue it as a career.
Reyes began her professional acting career in 1992 with a brief role in the television series Law & Order. She continued with small roles in several popular shows, including The Sopranos, NYPD Blue, and Nothing Sacred.
