Early Career in Journalism

Foster began his broadcasting journey at the age of 16, presenting a weekly show on Hospital Radio Swindon. While attending university, he gained practical experience as a reporter at the local BBC office. This led to a role with BBC Radio Five and later a two-year tenure at BBC Wiltshire Sound. At 24, he joined the BBC World Service and subsequently transitioned to BBC Television. There, he anchored business-oriented programs such as Business Breakfast on BBC World and co-presented the show Working Lunch.
