Megyn Marie Kelly was born in 1970 in New York. She grew up near Syracuse, where she attended Syracuse University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. During her college years, she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority.
Kelly later obtained her Juris Doctor in 1995 from Albany Law School, where she served as associate editor of the Albany Law Review.
Megyn Kelly married Douglas Brunt in 2008. The couple has three children together—two sons and one daughter. Previously, she was married to Dr. Daniel Ronald Kendall. During that time, she was known as Megyn Kendall.
Brunt, her current husband, is a former president of Authentium, a company specializing in antivirus software for internet service providers, portal operators, and banks. He is also a published author, having written novels including The Means and Ghosts of Manhattan.
Kelly’s father passed away due to a heart attack when she was 15 years old. Her mother, who worked as the chief of nursing at the Albany VA Medical Center, still resides in the area. In 2004, she joined Fox News as a general assignment reporter based in Washington.
