Melyssa Davies and James Murray were married on September 25, 2020, in an elegant ceremony at The Lake House Inn in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The event was attended by close friends and family, including Murray’s fellow Impractical Jokers castmates Sal Vulcano, Brian “Q” Quinn, and Joe Gatto.
The couple had initially planned a honeymoon at Soneva Jani in the Maldives. However, due to travel restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, those plans were postponed. Despite the disruption, the newlyweds expressed optimism about taking the trip when the situation allowed.
James Stephen "Murr" Murray, born May 1, 1976, is an American comedian, actor, author, and producer. He rose to prominence as a member of the comedy troupe The Tenderloins, which includes Joe Gatto, Brian Quinn, and Sal Vulcano. Together, they star in the popular television series Impractical Jokers, which premiered on TruTV on December 15, 2011.
Before the success of Impractical Jokers, Murray directed and co-wrote the 1998 film Damned!, a comedic retelling of biblical stories featuring Jeremy Guskin as Jesus. Interestingly, rather than purchasing a car, his parents helped finance the film, marking an early investment in his creative career.
After college, Murray reunited with his childhood friends and fellow Tenderloins members. They began performing improv and sketch comedy, eventually launching a digital presence on platforms like YouTube, MySpace, and Metacafe. In 2007, the group won a $100,000 grand prize in NBC’s It’s Your Show competition for their sketch “Time Thugs.”
