Early Life and Background

Omarion Ishmael Grandberry, born on November 12, 1984, in Inglewood, California, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. He is the oldest of seven children born to Leslie Burrell and Trent Grandberry.

Omarion’s early exposure to the entertainment industry began with appearances in commercials, eventually leading to roles in music videos and, later, to his membership in a successful R&B group. During his school years, he played football and was recognized for his distinctive dance moves, which would later become a signature part of his performance style.

Breakthrough with B2K

Omarion rose to fame as the lead singer of the R&B boy band B2K, managed by Christopher B. Stokes. The group gained widespread popularity in the early 2000s with a series of hit songs, including the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping single "Bump, Bump, Bump."

B2K's energetic performances and smooth harmonies earned them a loyal fan base and solidified their place in the R&B music scene. Despite the group's disbandment in 2004, their music remains influential within the genre.

Solo Music Career

Following the end of B2K, Omarion embarked on a solo career beginning in 2005. He has since released multiple successful albums, including O (2005), 21 (2006), Ollusion (2010), and Sex Playlist (2014). His 2014 single "Post to Be," featuring Chris Brown and Jhené Aiko, achieved platinum status and became one of his most popular tracks to date.

Omarion announced plans to release a new album titled Reasons, aiming to replicate or surpass the success of his previous work.
