Ryan Shazier was born in 1992 and is a former American football linebacker, best known for his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Ohio State University and was selected by the Steelers in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

By the end of his college career, Shazier had amassed 208 solo tackles, 315 total tackles, and 14.5 sacks. In 2013, he declared for the NFL Draft, forgoing his senior season. He was selected 15th overall in the first round by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2014, marking the start of his professional football career.
