Sean Patrick Hannity was born on December 30, 1961, in New York City, New York. Of Irish descent, he is the youngest of four siblings, with two sisters among them. He grew up in Franklin Square, Long Island, where he spent most of his early life. In recent years, he has reportedly relocated to Florida. Although Hannity attended both New York University and Adelphi University, he did not graduate from either institution. He married Jill Rhodes in 1993, and they have two children together: Patrick and Merri Kelly Hannity.
Hannity's career in broadcasting began in 1989 when he hosted his first talk radio show on KCSB-FM at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
