Personal Life and Family

Stellan Skarsgård has been married twice. His first marriage was to physician My Günther. They married in April 1975 and were together until their separation in May 2007. The couple had six children: Alexander, Gustaf, Bill, Valter, Eija, and Sam. Four of their sons—Alexander, Gustaf, Bill, and Valter—have pursued careers in acting, following in their father’s footsteps. Their daughter Eija is a former model.

In January 2009, Skarsgård married screenwriter Megan Everett. Together, they have two sons, Ossian and Kolbjörn. Despite his busy acting schedule, Skarsgård has often spoken about the importance of balancing his professional life with his responsibilities as a father.
