In 2012, Parker was injured in an incident at a nightclub in the SoHo district of New York City. The injury was serious and nearly prevented him from participating in the 2012 Summer Olympics. However, he recovered in time and went on to perform at a high level both in international and NBA play.

Parker was previously married to actress Eva Longoria, but they divorced in 2010. In 2014, he married Axelle Francine, a French journalist whom he met in 2011. The couple has two sons, Josh and Liam. However, they announced their separation in 2020.
