Christina Milian, born Christine Flores on September 26, 1981, in Jersey City, New Jersey, is the eldest daughter of Cuban parents Don Flores and Carmen Milian. Shortly after her birth, the family relocated to Waldorf, Maryland, where she was raised alongside her two younger sisters, Danielle and Elizabeth. Her parents divorced when she was 13 years old.
She attended Matthew Henson Middle School and showed a strong interest in the performing arts from an early age. Milian began singing and acting at the age of four and started writing songs by the time she was 17, showcasing her early passion for entertainment.
Milian launched her acting career in 1996 with a guest role as Lana on the television series Sister, Sister. She gained broader visibility when she played a series regular, Tina Flores, on the Disney Channel's Movie Surfers in 1998. Her film debut came in 1999 with a minor part in The Wood, and she secured her first major film role in 2003, starring in Love Don’t Cost a Thing. In July 2019, Milian announced via Instagram that she and her partner, French singer Matt Pokora, were expecting their first child together.
