In addition to his celebrated role in St. Elsewhere, Morse has made significant contributions to television. His television credits include appearances in Hack, Medium, Empire Falls, Treme, True Detective, and Blindspot. He received his first Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Detective Michael Tritter on House. His second Emmy nomination came for his portrayal of George Washington in the HBO miniseries John Adams.

Personal Life and Family

David Morse has been married to actress and writer Susan Wheeler Duff Morse since 1982. Together, they have three children: a daughter, Eliza, and twin sons, Benjamin and Samuel. The family resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where Morse remains actively involved in both local arts initiatives and his ongoing work in film and television.
