Elizabeth graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. Dedicating herself to the craft of journalism by going to college for it made Elizabeth well prepared for her future career in the field. With all of her studies, she would not be at risk of being incompetent when it came to the real world. Elizabeth converted her knowledge from college into a job an anchor and reporter for KOMU-TV. The job marked her debut into the broadcast world. She joined Good Morning America as its news anchor in 1996 and moved to prime time as a magazine correspondent in 1997.
