Jason Bradford Priestley was born on August 28, 1969, in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He is the son of Sharon Kirk, a makeup artist, and Lorne Priestley. He has an older sister, Justine Priestley, who is also an actor.
Priestley attended Argyle Secondary School in North Vancouver before later studying at a high school in Ladner, British Columbia.
