Melissa Molinaro is a Canadian-American pop singer, actress, choreographer, and model. She gained public attention through her reality television appearances on "Making the Band 3" and "Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll."
Born Melissa Ann Smith on June 4, 1982, in Whitby, Ontario, she later adopted the stage name Melissa Molinaro, taking her mother’s maiden name in 2010 as part of her professional identity.
Her family relocated to Rochester Hills, Michigan, when she was 13 years old. She began figure skating at the age of three and started training in gymnastics at five. Her passion for the performing arts led her to enroll in Deborah’s Stage Door Performing Arts Academy. There, she pursued acting and dance, landing leading roles in stage productions such as "Cinderella," "Beauty and the Beast," and "Cabaret."
Molinaro gained initial fame from her participation in reality TV competitions. She appeared on MTV's "Making the Band 3" in 2005 and later competed in The CW’s "Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll" in 2007. Although she didn’t win either show, her performances earned her nationwide exposure and helped launch her entertainment career.
She co-starred alongside Dolph Lundgren in the 2009 action film "Command Performance" and appeared in the 2011 dance drama "Honey 2," further establishing her as a film actress. However, Molinaro received wider recognition in 2011 after she starred in Old Navy's widely circulated "Super C-U-T-E" commercial, which showcased her singing and dancing talents in a stylishly choreographed video.
