Milana Vayntrub is a Uzbek-American actress, comedian, writer, and producer. She was born in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic to Jewish parents. At the age of three, her family immigrated to the United States, settling in West Hollywood to escape religious persecution. Her early entry into the entertainment industry began at the age of five, when she appeared in Barbie commercials for Mattel—an effort motivated by her family’s financial struggles.
Vayntrub attended Beverly Hills High School before earning a degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego. To further develop her comedic talents, she trained in improvisational comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade, a renowned improv and sketch comedy group.
Milana gained widespread recognition for her recurring role as Lily Adams, a witty saleswoman featured in a long-running series of AT&T television commercials starting in 2013. This role made her a familiar face across American households and significantly boosted her public profile.
Milana Vayntrub co-created and starred in the web series Let’s Talk About Something More Interesting alongside Stevie Nelson. The duo also collaborated on the YouTube comedy channel Live Prude Girls, which generated a number of comedic shorts and was ranked #93 on NewMediaRockstars’ Top 100 Channels countdown.
She also starred as Tina Shukshin in the Yahoo! Screen original sci-fi comedy series Other Space, further solidifying her presence in digital television productions.
