Natasha Gregson Wagner was born on September 29, 1970, in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of British film producer and screenwriter Richard Gregson and acclaimed American actress Natalie Wood. Her parents were married from 1969 to 1972 and separated before Natasha turned one year old. Following the divorce, Natalie Wood married actor Robert Wagner when Natasha was 22 months old.

Through her mother, Natasha is of Russian and Ukrainian descent. Raised in a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry, she was surrounded by Hollywood from an early age. Inspired by her family's legacy—particularly her mother's celebrated acting career—Natasha developed an early interest in performing.
