Roselyn Sánchez, a Puerto Rican actress, singer, songwriter, model, producer, and writer, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1973. The youngest of four siblings, Sánchez showed a passion for performance—particularly dancing and acting—from an early age. She initially enrolled at the University of Puerto Rico to study marketing, following in her father's footsteps. In 1992, Sánchez returned to Puerto Rico and made her acting debut in the film Captain Ron, portraying an island girl.
