A Current Affair and Career Break

In January 2008, Channel Nine announced that Sonia would host the Western Australian edition of A Current Affair. However, by July of the same year, the network announced that she would no longer continue in the role. Sonia chose to step back from her full-time television duties to dedicate more time to her family.
